- THE ROLE -
The Digital Services Support Specialist is the first point of contact for all in-person digital service enquiries, delivering an exceptional, inclusive, and user-focused experience to students, staff, and visitors.
This role combines technical troubleshooting with outstanding customer support, ensuring seamless access to digital resources, systems and learning spaces.
The post holder will provide practical support and clear guidance across multiple channels, mainly face-to-face, by phone, and live chat, while accurately logging and managing requests through the Service Management platform. They will diagnose and resolve issues, triage complex queries, and escalate where necessary, ensuring to maintain timely and effective service delivery.
The role will actively promote digital services support and resources, maintain learning spaces and equipment, and manage short-term device loans and specialist resources. A Digital Services Support Specialist contributes to continuous improvement by collecting service data, creating knowledge base content, and identifying opportunities to enhance the user experience.
As this is a user-focused role, it requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team collaboration. By combining problem-solving expertise with proactive engagement, it plays a vital role in ensuring that all users can confidently access and benefit from the university’s digital services.
